" a seamless fusion of scottish traditional music and jazz, with the cello — an unusual star in both these traditions — to the fore ."

- The Arts Desk

‘Soaring’ was written to capture the overwhelming sensation of freedom I experienced last year as I was on the brink of graduating from my degree, having recovered from a serious illness, and as the world gradually emerged from the pandemic. I hope that listeners can connect to the music in their own way and reflect on their own experiences of freedom and restriction, whatever this means to them.
